How can I automate the process filtering contacts based on email open rate.?
SOLVEAug 21, 2020 11:18 AM
Hello community,
1:- I want to filter my email contacts based on the email filtering rate, is it possible to automate this process somehow, as I want to filter contacts with open rate as 40% and so on, so that I can decide which to send mails and which not.
2:- How can I maintiain great health of my email, to avoid being filtered as spam email when I email my contacts. Is their any process to do this, or to automate this.

Hello Mubasher,
To solve for this you can build active lists, select filter type "Contact properties" and filter for email properties, such as:
- Sends since last engagement
- Last marketing email open date
- Marketing emails clicked
You can find a full list here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/hubspots-default-contact-properties#email
For the rate at which a contact has previously opened your emails, you would create a new custom property, using the field type "Calculation" and divide "Marketing emails opened" by "Marketing emails delivered":
Once created, you can use this new custom property in active lists as well. (Calculated properties are currently only available in the Pro and Enterprise tiers of HubSpot.)
Regarding your second question on email health, @natsumimori just compiled a great list of resources here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Email-Deliverability/Evergreen-contents-list-around-Marketing-Email...
Hope this helps!
