Help Me out of the Promotions Tab Jail

Hey all!

Our team has successfully stayed out of the googles promotions tab by doing several things, but now it seems that nothing is working on getting us out of it. It has cut our open rate by 3/4.

I've seen some suggestions about asking members to add us to their contact list but wanted to reach out to see if anyone else may have found something to help or if this is just where we are going to be from now on lol 😅

Most of the time emails from Hubspot or similar services will end up there. They use mostly shared IPs and when clients see email coming from a mass ESP, it tends to get tagged as such. You could go out and buy a dedicated IP, but if you are sending bulk, non-personalized messages then you could end up back there or in the updates tab. The odds of staying outside of tabs with bulk messaging are very slim.

The bigger question I would have is while it may cut open rates is it cutting conversion rates from your ultimate goals or is your goal simply to have the emails read with no further action? Open rates are very hit or miss anyways with privacy features and other hurdles.
