So i have a question on how the personalization token works. Every time i try to add a First Name Token and test send it to myself, It always sends "name" rather than my actual name that is in HubSpot. Im worried that if i add this token and send it to an actual list of clients it will show up as "name" for them also. Is there a way to fix this or am i missing something? Thank you!
When you click on the token in the editor, you should be able to specify a default value. This may be not set at all or set to "name". You can change it to something like "reader", "customer", or "there" (for a "hello there").
When you send a test email, make sure to fill both drop-downs in the test send sidebar. The second drop-down decides which contact HubSpot will use to simulate as a recipient. If you don't fill the drop-down, HubSpot will not have anything to populate the tokens with and send it blank, using only default values.
Best regards!
