It would be really cool if we could get data on our read rates/# of contacts who read the email stats more easily. Even if it is a bit fluffy - I would like to try to offer an additional engagement stat to track in Dashboards, Power BI, and another way to provide leads to sales. Thank you!
Not that I'm aware of (which doesn't mean it's not possible). There might be an API endpoint for this specifically.
However, as you already mentioned, these data are unlikely to be reliable anymore and it's unfortunately going to get worse as email service providers tighten their privacy protocols.
If you're running a huge email marketing operation with large numbers of emails, these are definitely relevant metrics. If your sample sizes are low, I'd almost go so far to say that they're vanity metrics: They're fun and allow for speculation but without the sample size to support extensive A/B testing, time is usually better spent in other avenues of optimization. (A much neglected one, for example, is interviewing a few actual recipients of the emails.)
Best regards!

Are you interested in these data for specific emails? If so, it can be exported under Menu > Marketing > Email > Export emails.
If you want this as a metric on a a contact-level, you can leverage the contact properties Marketing emails delivered and Marketing emails opened. If you export your contacts including these two fields, that would be an easy calculation.
For an easy to access calculated field in HubSpot, you should have access to calculation properties, too, judging by the Enterprise tag of your post. Here's how you can create that calculation property for a contact-based open rate: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/create-calculation-properties
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions and keep in mind that open rate tracking is becoming increasingly more unreliable across all solutions.
Best regards!

Hi there - Sorry for any confusion. I did not mean open rates - I know how to get those and know the issues with it...I meant "Read" as in "Read, Glanced, Skimmed" from the performance charts. You can go through and manually add those folks to lists, but I was looking for something like # read, # glanced, #skimmed for exporting for Power BI reporting, or easily making lists to use on dashboards to show email layout efficiency and help determine patterns. I know these may be not as accurate for privacy reasons, but even a guess is better than nothing. Hope that helps to clarify.

Thanks. Yes, we do a lot of email sends to a variety of different audiences. As much of a vanity metric it may be, I would still like to see if there are patterns. Again - fully understanding the "fluffiness" of the request - just want to be able to have something to be able to compare email layout effectiveness by audience before those metrics likely disappear full stop.
I was hoping to do something similar too. It could be a great metic to drill down from open rate. Did you have any luck finding a way of extracting over mutiple campaigns?
Looks like a manual job going into each individual email to get 'read' rate.
