Excluding certain clicks when reporting KPIs

Résolue

Hi all,

I am curious if in some cases you guys exclude certain clikcs when internally reporting CTR or the total clicks - like clicks on header and footer links - to homepage, social media, unsubscribe button - or simply clicks on certain section of the email. If so, why are you choosing this approach?

In other words, would you consider all clicks in an email relevant to your internal reporitng? Why/why not?

Honestly most email metrics are hard to really report on anymore between bots and recent email client privacy updates. The only real way to tell whehter your campaigns are working is to look at the combined picture of your goal. For instance, if you are tracking the email click to a form submit, are you getting web page visits and form submits?  This isn't to say we are not tagging our links to know what is clicking, but it's about the bigger picture because email is only a part of it.
