Emails for workflow

SOLVE

I have set up a simple workflow including two automated emails which are working fine. But I want the workflow to be initially triggered by a normal email that will be sent to a recipient list (not one saved for automation). However, when I try to choose this email as the trigger in the workflow, the dropdown list only includes emails that I have saved for automation, the email that has a recipient list does not appear. I have tried scheduling the email to be sent in two days time to see if that makes it appear on the dropdown but it's still not there. Am I doing something wrong?!

Short A:

Hey @EmmaPomeroy,

You'll want to build a HubSpot Smart List of contacts to whom you've sent your 'normal' (i.e., non-automated) email, then use that Smart List as the workflow trigger! Easy.

Longer A:
