So, as you told us that you are new to email marketing, I am sharing some tips to you but first you should make yourself comfortable of using this fantastic HubSpot. For preparing email marketing strategies I personally follow few steps -
Identify the platform you're using - You should list out each and every possibility or opportunities offered by that tool in our case tool is HubSpot so list out all opportunities in this like -
Types of email you can create
Different methods to sent emails
Tracking of email deliveries
Insights and activity you can do based on insights
etc.
Design Capabilities - In HubSpot you have pre defined email templates in free for different ocassions or objectives, But yes you have option to create your emails template on your own or you can choose and install paid email templates from HubSpot Asset marketplace.
Technical Capabilities - While we planning email marketing strategies it will incomplete without it's most technical parts like -
Subject lines
Dynamic things
Personalization
Dynamic URL's
Follow ups emails
A/B testing opportunities
Campaign mapping and insight generation.
After noticing above 3 points I start working and prepare my emails, campaigns, automations etc., But the most important point I always keep in my mind is 'GOAL' . Goal should be very clear in email marketing because without this you can not take further decisions or you will not understand the insights also.
