Email template outer spacing error

Hi all,

I'm trying to make an email template in the "classic" build area and I cannot get the spacing to work correctly, it shunts everything to the right on mobile view when I just want equal spacing around the text and button. Does anyone have any suggestions where I'm going wrong? I just can't see it!

I actually made my own work around using max-width: 90% on the copy and button elements I needed moved in from the edge, however would still be interesting to know where I was going wrong with the outer spacing?
