Email content - subscribe option

SOLVE

Hi, I am working on getting our clients details updated in the CRM.

1. An email is sent to the client which will list their current details that are in the CRM.

2. If the details are correct we request the client to subscribe - I am not able to add a subscribe option in the body of the email i.e. I want "click on subscribe to stay connected with us" (as a hyperlink sentence which will take the client to another subscribe option page) in the body of the email and not in the footer with a tiny subscribe button.

Can anyone please help me with this feature?

Email content - subscribe option

SOLVE

Hi @HJSG,

HubSpot doesn't have a default button or link for confirming one specific subscription. Without workflows (available in Professional and Enterprise), you would send your contacts to the standard subscription preferences page. They would select or deselect what they'd like to receive:

This is how you'd add this link:

Subscription preferences will take them to the page where they can select or deselect which types of emails they would like to receive from you (Marketing information, 1:1 sales email etc.).

(Subscription confirmation will send them to the confirmation page (or, if not created yet, a blank page saying something like 'Thank you for your confirmation'). This will populate the property Marketing email confirmation status with the value User clicked confirmation. Unsubscribe all will also take them to a version preference page where they have one button to unsubscribe.)

With workflows, you'd have more options. You could create CTAs in emails and trigger contact-based workflows when a contact clicks those CTAs (regardless of what exactly these buttons are linking to). The workflow could then set specific subscriptions based on these clicks: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/manage-your-subscription-preferences-and-types#update-the-sub...

Another option would be manual: You could build active lists of contacts who've clicked a custom CTA in your emails and do not have subscriptions associated with them yet. Once a day or a week, you could bulk edit these contacts and add the appropriate subscription: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/manage-your-subscription-preferences-and-types#add-subscripti...
