Email address causing confusion

Hi,

I've just sent out an email to a list and had a bunch of people reply saying the email address looks weird, is it actually from us, is it spam etc etc. I set the email sending address to be from one linked with our hubspot, but I've looked and it is longwinded and has hubspot in the address.

What have I done wrong? Or is this a case of not being a paying member?

Hi @GMcSharry,

If you're referring to HubSpot marketing emails and if you are on the free products, then this is expected behavior. HubSpot will show in the recipients inbox that your email is sent via the HubSpot infrastructure and correct, this email address looks a bit strange. You can check for yourself by sending an email to your own contact record.

The only way to remove this is by signing up to a paid Marketing Hub subscription and connecting your sending domain: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot
