Email Response in Free CRM Tool

Good Afternoon, 

I am certain this is an obvious miss, but how do I reply to an email in the Hubspot CRM? I've used the Gmail connector. I'm assuming I don't need to go back to my Gmail to respond.

To respond to that email you would have to go back to Gmail. Otherwise you would have to start a new conversation from the contact record using the email function.
