Does paid version of Hubspot allow import of contacts that have not been contacted before?

It seems like that the **free** version of Hubspot does not allow import of contacts that have not been previously been contacted.

This seems a bit strange since Hubspot advocates emailing companies/contacts first and then follow up later by phone or email.

Hi, HubSpot doesnt allow import of contacts not contacted before.
You should look for Zoho CRm instead which also has a free version, and
there you can import contacts that you have never contacted before.

Hubspot is not very useful for marketing purposes imho.

Hi @jneubert,

From a purely technical standpoint, HubSpot will let you import these contacts both in the free and the paid CRM.

The main difference here is that you can't appeal a marketing email tool suspension in the free CRM when HubSpots deliverability protection system detects excessive hard bounces or supposedly fraudulent activity, more on that here.

In any case, both free and paid version, you need to confirm that contacts expect to hear from you and that your import file does not include a purchased list. The details are explained in HubSpot's acceptable use policy.
