Deactivated Users / Marketing Emails

SOLVE

We have our marketing emails set to be sent from the contact owner (personalization token) with the reply-to address as the contact owners' address (personalization token). If we have deactivated users that have contacts that are receiving marketing emails, what happens if any of these contacts reply? Does their reply go to the email of the deactivated user? Or what does HubSpot do in this case?

I am assessing whether I need to set up a workflow reassigning contact owners from deactivated users to active users.

Hi @alexagatiss,

You should definitely reassign records 🙂 "The user will be unassigned from conversations and assets, as well as removed from reports." While I haven't tested your exact scenario, this suggests a negative user experience for your email recipients.
