Create Opt-out Link Starter

Setting:

I work in the German HubSpot STARTER version and we >>don't have linked outlook to HubSpot<<.

Case:

in Wordpress we have a form (not a HUBSPOT form yet, but we might get the Hubspot plugin for Wordpress).

With this form we like to get subscribers name, mail, company and country being put into our HubSpot CRM.

By submitting the form, our sales ad well gets the infos entered via mail (beside HubSpot) and will respond out of outlook (not linked to Hubspot as mentioned) 1:1.

In this email, we need to provide an UNSUBSCRIBE Link, that leads the hopefully-put-into-Hubspot-Person (when signed in) to the option to single sign out and the action in HUBSPOT to be marked as not marketing contact anymore.

As we are working in germany surrounding the usual unsubscribe link is in German we'll, but we do need it in english.

Challenges I need help for:

1) where to find the URL for unsubscription to put it in the not-to-hubspt-connected outlook disclaimer?

2) how to change the standard opt out to English (I don't find the setting to change the standard opt out)?

3) how to create the workflow to change status after unsubscribing in HubSpot STARTER?

Hi @SMi,

Unsubscribe links can only be generated when using the sales extension or sending one-to-one emails directly from HubSpot. There is no general link for this as it is personalized by HubSpot upon sending for the recipient. There is no way to generate a static HubSpot unsubscribe link.

The workaround here would be a form that you create, with one field (Email). Contacts would request their unsubscription by filling the form. You would manually unsubscribe them after: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/manage-your-subscription-preferences-and-types (manually because there aren't any workflows on the Starter tier and no sneaky workarounds to get access to them either)
