Contact Segmentation

Hi Community, I am planning on exporting contacts from Mailchimp to HubSpot. However, I have multiple audience lists in my Mailchimp account. How can I make sure contacts are segmented if they opted out of a specific list in Mailchimp but able to recieve other marketing emails if they are opted in to other lists? I dont want to fully supress a contact if they are still opted into other communications. Could I create a custom Opt-out property?

Custom properties would be one option but HubSpot actually has a feature to manage different opt statuses for different communication channels – subscription types: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/how-do-subscription-preferences-and-types-work

For each subscription type, a contact can be opted in, not opted, or opted out. On top of that, a contact can be unsubscribed from all email.
