Hi,

In an automatic email, if there is no name in the contact, how do I make a defualt so it shouldn't say Dear ,

Maybe like Dear Team,

Hi @HGorelick,

A common option is to set a default value. When adding a personalization token, HubSpot asks you this, it could be 'customer', 'reader' or 'recipient'.

Another option in Professional portals are smart rules: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/create-and-manage-smart-content-rules

You could create a list of contacts where the name is known and then display the personalised version. For contacts not on this list, the smart content could simply display 'Hello'.
