Confusing Send Limits

SOLVE

We have both Sales Professional and Marketing.  We are goign to start doign some eMail marketing but are a bit confused about the daily per user send limitations.  I thought our connected O365 accounts had a daily send limit of 1000 so I figured that was our limit but checking in Hubspot I see different limitations that are a bit confusing.  What I'm trying to determine is if were using marketing contacts and enrolling contacts\companies as marketing contacts then was is our daily per user limit or how do the limits apply?

Confusing Send Limits

Hi @KBixler,

Marketing contact status only affects marketing email sends, not sales emails. The summary for marketing contacts is: A contact must be a marketing contact for you to send them a marketing email. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/marketing-contacts

The limits here are referring to sales emails, in other words, emails sent through the personal connected inbox of a user: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/sales-email-send-limits

Enrolling contacts into sequences does not require the contact to be a marketing contact. In that case, you would have to makre sure you stay within the sales email send limits. The marketing contact status would only matter if you were setting up marketing emails, automated or regular: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/create-marketing-emails-in-the-drag-and-drop-email-editor
