Hi everyone, I’ve recently created a food-related website where I’ve added different products, and I want to start promoting them through email marketing. Before I begin, I want to make sure I’m following the correct guidelines.
Can I use HubSpot’s email marketing tools to promote these types of products? Are there any specific rules, best practices, or restrictions I should be aware of when sending marketing emails for food items?
Any guidance or recommendations would be really helpful. Thanks!

Yes, you can use HubSpot's email marketing tools to promote food related products, as long as you follow the Acceptable Use Policy and laws like CAN-SPAM.
There are no Key Rules and Restrictions specific bans on food items, but avoid high-bounce practices or unsolicited emails; only send to opted-in marketing contacts. Comply with CAN-SPAM (physical address, clear unsubscribe) and GDPR; HubSpot enforces this strictly.
Follow These Best Practices for Food Emails:-
1. Segment lists by nutrition interests (e.g., keto calculators) for personalization to boost opens.
2. Use eye-catching visuals of products with clear CTAs like "Try Our Meal Planner Free."
3. Start with value: Share recipes or tips before promotions to build trust
Absolutely! You can definitely use HubSpot's email marketing tool to send marketing emails. You can email anyone who has opted in or given consent to receive marketing emails from you. And you should narrow your list down to the contacts who need the information you are providing in the marketing email (whatever it is about).
I'm an email marketing specialist. I'd be happy to chat with you about a few training/consulting hours as you get established in HubSpot. I also provide ongoing email marketing services if that interests you.
