Block Contacts Engaged with Sales Emails from Receiving Marketing Emails

Hi all, is there a way to make sure that marketing emails do not send to contacts who have recieved and responded / engaged with a sales email within the last week? I don't to disrupt the current conversations that are happening with sales.
Not as a global setting, no. Marketers would have to exclude those contacts (e.g. "Last contacted is less than 7 days ago") from each marketing email and workflow, via an exclusion list for example.
