Hi, I am trying to add calendar link buttons to an email that is going to multiple people so it can appear in their calendars when they click the button. I have followed the advice from this chat Insert calendar invites into marketing emails but it does not take the recipient straight to their calendar, it downloads the Outlook calendar as an ics file onto the recipient's computer. Is there any way to get around this so that when the recipient clicks the link it directs them straight to their calendar so they can then add the event to it? The same goes for Google Calendar and teams.
I got confused using the labnol calendar about how to set up Apple (which is a download, not a link) -- do I just upload it as a file to Hubspot and then make it a download? -- so I ended up using calndr.link, although I'd like the real answer to this. Thanks!
Hi @mkrintzUse CalGet.com to generate ‘Add to Calendar’ links and embed them as HTML in your HubSpot email templates. This tool supports major calendar services
- and, To answer your question, CalGet also provides an ICS file or an Apple Calendar link. If you use CalGet, you don’t need to upload these files separately; you can simply include the Apple Calendar link (ICS). Users will then be prompted to add the event to their calendar or download the ICS file, depending on the device they are using.
Thanks for that; however, I discovered that the free version of CalGet only allows 25 clicks per event, so that did not work for me as an employee of a nonprofit.
