Activity data if using Mailchimp as marketing email transmission mechanism
SOLVE
Hi,
What features/functionality, if any, do we lose if we switch the transmission of marketing emails created in Hubspot to be sent via Mailchimp? We have CRM, Sales Pro and Marketing Pro.
The reason we're exploring this option is Hubspot emails fail DKIM and we're not going to pay AU$675 a month that Hubspot required to support internet email best practice.
Do we lose tracking, engagement, opens, clicks, attribution, etc? Or will it be imperceivable to our Hubspot users and all the same activity ends up in the same place against contact records in Hubspot?
For 1-on-1 emails and sequences, our Office 365 integration uses that to send emails which supports DKIM, so that is fine.
If you send emails through Mailchimp, you will not see any of that activity in the contact timeline in HubSpot. The integrations are quite basic at the moment and focussed, as far as I can tell, on building lists in Mailchimp.
However, HubSpot does support DKIM - have you tried that already and got unsatisfactroy results?
