A contact received the same email but duplicated in their inbox

Hello!
When we sent an email out, we had a customer receive the same email duplicated in their inbox. I checked the customer's contact info and he only has one contact with us he is associated with only one company. We don't have any emails with the same subject line either and it seems to be only a couple contacts this has happened to, not all.
Can the recipient check which email address exactly they received the email under? It might land in the same inbox but the destination addresses might be different, for example, if I'm John Doe, all these addresses could lead into my inbox:
contact@acme.com (if this is, for example, a group or shared address)
HubSpot automatically deduplicates contacts within one send, so it's impossible for john.doe@acme.com to receive the same email twice - unless they're in the recipient list of two identical sends.

SOLVE
Just because there is only one contact on your end doesn't mean there isn't multiple on the other end. Are you sending to anyone else at that company? Could this recipient be receiving those additional emails as well?
