Hi, we have just sent out a marketing email, and the sent-by info in the subject line - which earlier was nicely showing our company name - shows our Hubspot email address + the reply to our real email address is not working. The test email on the 22nd of October went fine, and the email sent on the 25th was wrong.

@AIStudios if it has worked until now, unfortunately that was not by design or you were potentially on a free trial for what's otherwise paid functionality.

If you want consistent behavior here, there is no way around upgrading, as I mentioned in my previous reply. The free version does not allow email authentication, meaning that emails will not look trustworthy to recipients and will also be flagged or moved to spam by some email service providers.

Hi @AIStudios,

If you're using the free tools, this is expected behavior. You would have to upgrade to one of the paid subscriptions listed at the beginning of this page and authenticate your sending domain to remove this additional 'sent by' information: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/marketing-email/manage-email-authentication-in-hubspot

Best regards!

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for your reply. So far - also in the free version - it worked well. And now sending a test email to two recipients, one is good, and the other one is not. And in the wrong one clicking on the reply, it writes to the Hubspot email, which is a non-existent email.

What do you think?

Thanks, Barbara
