can a contact resubscribe to my emails if they've unsubscribed from receiving marketing emails
SOLVE
Hello,
I am part of the marketing team in my company. As such, my emails are considered marketing emails by Hubspot. If a contact unsubscribed from our marketing newsletter, they're also blocked from receiving my emails, even though I don't send out any ad-related emails. The contacts have even agreed to be contacted by me to their Customer Success manager (I contact our customers for case studies). The customer likely doesn't realize that unsubscribing from our newsletter also prevents me from contacting them. Is there a way for them to "resubscribe" to my emails but not the entire marketing emails? For example, if the contact marks my address as trusted, would that fix the problem?
In any case, you need to make the contact aware of the fact that a full unsubscribe is a full unsubscribe. Instead of unsubscribing from all, they should specifically unselect marketing emails from their preference page, not all subscription types.
I know that it's not always easy explaining this, especially if you're the service provider and you want something from the contact, not vice versa.
In any case, unfortunately, you can't override an unsubscribe that was done by a contact. They need to take action.
Best regards!
