First thank you in advance for the assistance. We use Google Workspace for our emails, and i got a message at google that I have to setup my SPF records to ensure deliverability of the emails we send out. When I logged in to my domain to do the setup I found out that I have already setup hubspot on it for emails, as we use hubspot to send out our newsletters. By reading the help files on google workspace they provided a way to setup Google Workspace with 3rd parties like Hubspot.
Please check the attached screenshot, does that mean that I should change the "Top" txt record to be:
If you use another email provider besides Hubspot, such as Google Workspace, you might have an existing SPF record. You can add HubSpot's SPF record to the same TXT record after any existing include: statements.

Hi @BUYVEST happy to help with your question about your SPF record update.
1 - you should only have one TXT record for SPF, if you have more than one it will cause major issues (delete the one shown in the second screenshot)
2 - you will need to add google as the priority since you'll be emailing directly from google workspace, so yes, change the TXT record in the first screenshot to as soon as possible:
As an additional note, adding SPF for HubSpot is only recommended right now, and although it won't show the green checkmark in the email sending domain configurator tool it's actually not needed. HubSpot is sending from their domain and includes an SPF in the envelope automatically, here is the response from their team directly:
Our envelope return path domains all have SPF configured and for the time being this should be sufficient. The reason we also recommend configuring SPF on the friendlyFrom domain is because it adds an extra layer of security and we are anticipating stricter requirements to come in the future.
TL;dr- it's not required but recommend in the event that future restrictions come on board!
If my reply answered your question please mark it as a solution to make it easier for others to find.
Thank you so much this is very detailed and easy to follow. I will do these steps. I appreciate the help.
p.s: I did mark your reply as a solution, I am new to this if it did not show to you that it marked please reach out to me. I dont want to be rude by not marking it 🙂
