How to temporarily pause an email address

SOLVE

Hello @AmyYUL

You could create a list for "temporarily park email address".

If you send an email using workflow automation, you can remove this list of contacts from the workflow.

If you send an email directly from the email campaign, you can exclude this list from the email. Read this article.

How to temporarily pause an email address

SOLVE

@AmyYUL you can find steps for creating a contact date property here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-and-edit-properties

Once created, you can place it in the left record sidebar: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/customize-record-sidebars

You can then proceed to create a contact list to filter for contacts where this date property is more than 0 days from now: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/lists/create-active-or-static-lists

There isn't any need to create options for three months, six months etc. By entering the return date of that person, the list will only include contacts who haven't returned yet. The moment the return date is in the past (not "more than 0 days from now" anymore), they leave the list.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

How to temporarily pause an email address

SOLVE

Hi @AmyYUL,

You could set up a date property that stores the end date of the absence - then create a list of contacts where this date is more than 0 days from now.

You can then use this list as an exclusion list for your HubSpot activities, e.g. marketing email sends.

Best regards!

How to temporarily pause an email address

How do I set up a date property? Do I need to create a new group with different possible lengths for leave (eg three months, six months, one year)?

Screenshots of steps I need to take and what I need to create would be helpful.
