Global Bounced Contacts Not Receiving Download Emails

SOLVE

We have people who visit our landing pages & fill out a form for a download. They receive this download via email, however, if the contact has globally bounced--they don't receive the email. 

 

It would be nice to have a way to quickly resend these emails if the contact has globally bounced instead of doing it one by one when we see it happen. Or at least be able to pull a list of global bounces so we can review them in one place.

 

Also, if a contact submits a form on our site, why doesn't that opt them back in? If they are giving us their email, they want to receive our content and we need to make sure they receive it otherwise it's a bad user experience.

I'd recommend upvoting and commenting. The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

 

Until then, you can always filter for 'Email hard bounce reason is known' to find contacts who have bounced in general. It's not the same but you might want to review these contacts and unbounce them anyway.

 

Regarding the submission / opt-in: technically, one doesn't have to do anything with the other. A form submission and a subsequent follow-up email can be entirely transactional, not requiring any opt-in. If you want to make it so that a form submission sets an opt-in, you could add a checkbox for that subscription type via the GDPR settings of the form: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/forms/add-notice-and-consent-information-to-your-hubspot-form-or-pop-u...

 

If you're referring to a full opt-out, then this can only be reversed in a Marketing Hub Professional subscription: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email/resubscribe-contacts-to-your-marketing-emails#resubscribe-a-cont...
