Emails being spammed on hotmail

SOLVE

Hi there,

We're having an issue with our emails being spammed. We have 2 contacts that aren't recieving out emails becuase it stated 'an email in the past has been spammed'. When they look in their spam, there's nothing there so the email must have automatically deleted a while back and since then our emails have been blocked. We've asked the people to do everything Hubspot recommend to do on the list to avoid spamming but emails are still not coming through.

They even changed their protection settings through Outlook. Both contacts have a hotmail account.

We send communications about the course they are taking with us so they need the emails, it's not just marketing content. Is there any way to get them back to recieving our emails?

Thanks,

Aoife

Emails being spammed on hotmail

SOLVE

Hi @Aoifshanahan,

Could you please share the exact error or status message? A screenshot would also be helpful here.

Also, could you share the exact steps that you already undertook to decrease the probability of your emails landing in the spam folder?

The most important thing would be to connect your email domain:

Connect your email sending domain

Use a DMARC policy with HubSpot

Connecting your email sending domain will help prevent your marketing emails from getting caught in spam filters, and will also remove the via HubSpot text that appears in the sender information at the top of your marketing emails.

Hope this helps!
