Delays in Marketing Emails

SOLVE

On Wednesday afternoon, we suddenly started seeing signficiant delays on a mission critical and time sensitive marketing email we send out every day. Support has suggested that it can take up to an hour to send emails. (This only goes to less than 1000 subscribers.)  Historically it has taken only a few minutes and we've never experienced this delays, but since Wednesday it seems to only be getting worse. Is anyone else experiencing something simliar now or had a similar experience in the past?

Delays in Marketing Emails

SOLVE

Hey @iamtywilson, happy Friday!

I checked our status page, and nothing has been reported about it. It’s unusual for emails to take that long, especially for a smaller list.

Since you've already reached out to support, I would recommend to work with them to best resolve this, here are a few things to consider:

Email content: Sometimes, large attachments, heavy images, or certain links can slow down the sending process.

Sending schedule: If multiple campaigns are being sent at the same time, staggering them could help prevent congestion.

Review your email list: Ensure all contacts are valid. Invalid or outdated contacts could lead to issues like delays or bounces.

If these things don’t seem to be the cause, it may be worth providing this information with support for additional insights.

Kindly,

Pam
