Automated Spam Report as Unsubscribe Source

SOLVE

Hi,

I've been looking at some spam reports after sending a marketing email. When I go to the specific contacts and look at their subscription status history, I can see Automated Spam Report as the opt-out status source for all of them. What exactly does this mean? Did they manually flag the email as spam or was it marked as spam automatically from their email client?

I tried searching for a definition/explanation but could not find any.

Thanks for your help!

Best

If it's automated it was likely their server is automatically flagging them at present because you were manually flagged in the past. Are you able to look back on earlier records to that domain/recipient?

Hi, thanks for your answer! I looked at earlier records and none of them have any manual flagging in the past. Just opt-in action followed by automated spam report action with some time distance in-between. The domains are either hotmail or outlook. Can we deduce anything based on this or get any advice as to how to handle the issue? We have over 80 such reports for the past month only.
