Anyone else have problems with some companies having 0 opens to marketing emails?
Example: we send emails to a marketing list of 10,000 (valid subscribers), and get around 3% open rate. When looking at the fine analytics, some companies have decent opens within this distribution, but some companies have 0 (across 300-500 recipients from the same company). The list quality is good. Do some companies have VERY strict SPAM filters that are causing the problem? (this is marketing to major pharma).
My company is having the same issue. We do a lot of email marketing to hospitals and other healthcare organizations and within the last few months our open rates have PLUMMETED from like 15% to 5% for good lists. I'm guessing HubSpot has been black listed by their spam filters and/or is stripping out all the tracking info. We are at a loss for words, and have reached out to other major companys we do work with that use HubSpot, and they have confirmed the same issue. WHAT IS HUBSPOT DOING ABOUT THIS?
Hi there, we are having the pretty much the same issue. We left Marketo a little over a month ago and since then our email rates have dropped drastically and we can't figure out why. We are emailing the same list - what is going on? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Additional - we've even performed tests with no images, or only 50 emails to a company at a time, even added SPF connection, and of course excluded unengaged contacts. STILL no big change. We are very disappointed. It's like HS emails are being blocked by various enterprise servers.
That is likely the issue, yes. Depending on the email policies of those companies, images might for example not be loaded ore stripped from the emails for security reasons. (An email open is counted when the images in the email load, or when the user clicks on a link in the email even if the images do not load, see here.)
Have you verified with some recipients whether these emails are actually going through to the inbox? There might be a chance that these emails are caught in a filter without sending bounce information back.
Best regards!
