Sunsetting v1 of the Cookie Consent Banner in favor of v2

This is a reposting of the developer changelog, if there are any differences the version live on the changelog is the official announcement.

HubSpot's cookie consent banner allows site visitors to opt in or opt out of being tracked in your HubSpot account with cookies. A new version of HubSpot's cookie management tools is now available to all customers.

What's changing?

The new version has an updated banner design that meets accessibility standards, groups banners by domain, and includes brand-new features such as support for Global Privacy Control (GPC),opt-out banner types, and additional customization options.

Customers can migrate to Version 2 now by opting in through the current cookie banner settings page

Developers be aware the change does change the HTML of the cookie banner so custom CSS or JavaScript used to modify the banner may need to be updated.

When is it happening?

Version 2 is available to upgrade to now. Customers who do not take action will be migrated automatically starting in November 1st, 2024.

This announcement has been updated - previously the migration date was July 5th, that date was changed to November 1st, 2024.
