Hello all! Excited to be apart of this community! Seems to be evergrowing and tons of great mentorship oppurtunity, which is great!

My current role is a Candidate Success Manager, I work in the cyber realm, not exactly sure what SaaS means but I think that applies. - if someone could comment and better explain that, that would be great! The most exciting part about data management and reporting is seeing the work play off, I enjoy seeing the final product work and deliver results. Currently not working on anything new, just trying to expand my skills. Hoping to get to meet new people, get some extra support if I have a question, and be able to help others where I can!

Thanks!

Joshua

Hey Joshua!

SaaS = Software as a Service. This means paying for the use of a software (subscription), such as: Hubspot, Slack, Netflix, dropbox, Zendesk, Monday etc.

Hello everyone,

My name is Valentin Maior, and I live in Romania.

I am a tech guy (worked 10y as a developer) that developed a huge passion for growth (using this term to define the mix between marketing, sales and operations/revenue). Last year I stumbled upon this term RevOps and have been investigating it ever since.

My work is related to tech startups, both as a consultant and a co-Founder/Angel investor. I get involved and love helping companies take things off the ground by implementing business processes and developing the data gathering systems.

I'am an autodidact, and I took 2 sabatical years to learn about marketing and sales for tech startups and software agencies,  but this also generated a lot of confusion, as the more I learned the more confused I was about: "What am I actually doing? What the role I play in the company? What type of consultant am I?"

I feel that RevOps, best describes what I love doing and what I've been learning about and doing for the last 5 years.

So here I am.

Looking to learn and get more clarity as well as to genuinly connect with people that share same passion.

Hi Valentin, I loved your story! My story was similar when investigating more and having that crisis of "What am I actually doing? my role" etc.

So I got a question for you if I may: what did you understand that RevOps means in order to identify yourself with that?

The thing is I am mostly involved in implementing business processes and making sure how the data is set so everything can then be extracted into reports and be analysed, but I don't make the reports or data aggregation myself. Just the making the data be there and already organised to make the data analyst's life easier. I'd love to know if you feel this would be RevOps too? Looking forward to your comments!
