Defining RevOps and Sharing Your Learning Goals
Here at HubSpot, we define Revenue Operations, or RevOps, as the people, processes, systems, and data that control how your business generates revenue.
That means that if you work at an organization that generates revenue, then you have RevOps at play in your business!
RevOps enables you to not only strategically improve your customer experience, but it also lets you powerfully and intentionally scale your business.

Mike, TX. RevOps is aligning, quantifying, and increasing the efficiency of marketing, sales, and operations in order to increase revenue. I hope to learn how to scale!
RevOps is like that favorite Grandma at the family reunion. She gathers everyone under the same roof, has set goals to achieve and how to achieve them, brings happiness to all that come, and even learns a few new recipes to feed newcomers. Grandma also knows how to handle disappointments and where changes need to be made.
I found that I am already that favorite Grandma in my company. I just have the wrong job title...
Revenue operations is the function that brings together people, processes, technology and data in order to drive revenue-generating activities across cross-functional teams at the lowest cost possible.
I hope to gain a fundamental understanding of revenue operations in preparation for my first role in the RevOps space.
My name is Pedro, I am the new and self entitled Chief Revenue Ops of a college in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I define revops as the team that ensures student outcomes fully match what marketing and enrollment promisses as well as student's expectations. I hope to learn more about how to fully integrate de academic team with marketing and enrollment folks to make sure everyone is focused on the students journey and positive outcomes!
I view RevOps as a necessary mechanism for optimizing customer experience, stickyness, retention, reducing decay. Revops allows the company to use empiric data-backed decisions based on KPI to maintain efficiency and increase/optimize revenue.

Hey Kim! I like that you mentioned how money is spent. Personally, I think this is crucial and we cannot be too granular when looking at this and interpreting against empiric data (whatever KPI you're interested in) and how this relates to customer satisfaction/experience. Thanks for sharing

I would define RevOps as sythensizing data so as to identify opportunities to align sales, marketing, and customer success, all the with the goal of driving more revenue by emphasizing positive customer experiences.

RevOps is a concerted effort to unify internal teams, tech, and processes to streamline operations in order to scale and ultimately improve the customer experience. RevOps to me, is the immersion point where multiple department data is centralized and evaluated by a specific team ( RevOps) that improves company performance and profit margins.
