Defining RevOps and Sharing Your Learning Goals
Here at HubSpot, we define Revenue Operations, or RevOps, as the people, processes, systems, and data that control how your business generates revenue.
That means that if you work at an organization that generates revenue, then you have RevOps at play in your business!
RevOps enables you to not only strategically improve your customer experience, but it also lets you powerfully and intentionally scale your business.

What’s your name, and where are you based? I'm Ananda Narasimhan, I'm based out of Chennai, India.
How do you define RevOps? RevOps to me would be a good friend, who's always there to keep an eye out for you. If you're stuck doing repetitive things they notify you about it, if you're going back to your toxic behavious they have an intervention, they help you make the best out of yourself and also show empathy to those you work with and spread a sense of positive feeling about their experience with you. Was this too much? 😉
What do you hope to learn in HubSpot Academy’s Revenue Operations Certification? I hope to learn the basics, I've worked with my fair share of RevOps teams in my experience in SaaS and this would definitely be helpful for me to understand the undelying principles better and possible get the certification and start looking for opportunities that will let me implement and optimize a business. So that in the future if and when I start a company of my own, I can make sure that the basics were laid out right.

How do you define RevOps? RevOps is a strategic mindset and area of the company with the end-goal of making the customer (both internal and external) experience the best it can be in every engagement while ensuring target revenue growth.

Agree with the training so far - Rev Ops is a wholistic approach to managing operations structure, tech, and processes for All teams in a company generating revenue.
What do you hope to learn in HubSpot Academy’s Revenue Operations Certification?
I hope to learn how to approach my coming role in running this department. I want to apply these learnings in an easy to ingest format & support the changes so that teams do not feel displaced or burdened by our improvements.
I'd define RevOps as fine-tuning resources & process that already exist in a business to increase ROI without increasing costs.
I'd like to add structure and process to the digital marketing skills I've developed over the last 15 years while running my own business, and combine it with HubSpot's undeniable ability to improve business processes.

RevOps is the consolidation of cross-functional teams within an organization by providing a strategic analysis, discover, implementation through automation and customization.
What do you hope to learn in HubSpot Academy’s Revenue Operations Certification?
I hope to learn how I'm able to lead more of you and assist in ways where getting your entire organization speaking to the same language to your customer because the data is giving them the right information.

2). I would define RevOps as the ability to streamline operations at my own company, this includes orchestrating operational teams that are aligned and analyzing data that are vital to the success of the company's growth.

I define RevOps as a data-driven process by which you can improve operational efficiency and efficacy in order to grow the business and improve customer and employee satisfaction. I hope to learn ways to develop RevOps in my current role.
I am Collene Bay Andersen and I am based in Phoenix, Arizona. RevOps is the foundation for growth and success within any organizatoin. It aligns the various departments and helps us all focus on one singular goal - GROWTH. I am hoping to learn more about RevOps and how to implement using HubSpot in my department.
RevOps is the future. The only way to align every organization on the most important goal: generate more revenue.
Too many VP's, too many way of doing things, different metrics that are not important for the GOAL.
If revenue is the goal n°1, we can go back thinking of what is really important, focusing on the right activities. Marketing, sales, CSX, are the tools that enable customers to enjoy your product/service and the experience with it. They are not indipendent entity with disconnected metrics.

It is a strategic way to approach and visualize the operations of the customer-related teams of your company, in order to garantee the best customer experience and company growth.
What do you hope to learn in HubSpot Academy’s Revenue Operations Certification?
I hope to learn how to work as a RevOps person effectively and how to achieve the benefits of doing that.
My view of RevOps is one that will evolve with training, however, my first perception of RevOps was from a 30,000 ft. view. With a little research into it, my perception of RevOps was that it is an operation that organizes and structures the sales, marketing, and customer expectations to create a unified business approach across the organization and the customer. It is relatable to how I have focused on process improvement on the cost side of business.
