Email Domain Over-riding Company?

SOLVE

Hello - I'm currently have a data issue hopefully someone can help with!

Some background: Our company currently serves the hospitality industry and there are a lof of layers when it comes to Property Owners, Management Companys, and franchises etc. That being said the "company" of a lot of these hotels we'd like to have as the name of the hotel even IF they are technically under the Hilton or Marriott franchise.

My problem currently is that the email domains are the franchise company (@hilton.com) and it automatically tags the company as Hilton.

Even when I manually upload a list and override the primary company it reverts back.

If anyone has any advise on this I'd greatly appreciate it!

Email Domain Over-riding Company?

SOLVE

Hey @EHagel  this is due to the automatic contact to company association setting being enabled. When enabled it will always associate a contact to a company when the contact email domain matches a companyt domain. There's no way to have this selectively work right now unfortunately, it will either associate all based on matching contact and company domain or associate none.

If this doesn't work it might be worth turning off and looking up third party integrations to handle your associations. Associ8 is one I'm familiar with but there may be more!
