UTM on Meeting Links

Dear All,

can adding UTM params to a meeting link track it as part of a campaign?

I have an ebook with a "Book a Discovery Call" meeting link in it and would like to know if that's tracked either as part of just the campaign or Google Analytics.

I don't need to track the conversion of the meeting booking for now (which I believe isn't possible), just the source of the click.

Thanks,

Lorenzo

Hi @lbolognini,

Yes, it appears as though this is possible. Check out this article...and specifically this note:

Please note: the HubSpot Sales properties Last Meeting Booked CampaignLast Meeting Booked Medium, and Last Meeting Booked Source will be populated only if you have UTM tracking parameters added to your meetings link.

Hope that helps!

Josh

Lorenzo,

At this time I do not believe that is possible as the GA or GTM code doesn't actually load on the meetings link pages.

If anyone knows otherwise, please share as this would be beneficial!

The article (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/contacts/hubspots-default-contact-properties) only contains this entry of 'last meeting booked':

  • Date of last meeting booked in meetings tool: the date of the meeting that is booked the farthest out from the current date. For example, if a meeting is booked for December 1st, and another meeting is booked for December 7th, the property value will appear as December 7th.

Nothing about the UTM codes.

Hi @Josh , this thread is great and I just bumped into it - 4 years later! I see you added to your signature "Schedule a meeting with Josh" with "/hubspotcommunity" in the URL. I was wondering where do you see the results of this tracking in a simple way?
Thanks!

Hi @BContreras5,

I'm able to see and measure those results right in HubSpot!

I hope this helps!

Thanks Josh!

Looks like it gets tracked inside the Contact profile and it's accessible by other tools but wondering if it gets tracked in HubSpot's own analytics and flow back to my own Google Analytics account somehow.

I see the Meeting page has HubSpot's own Google Tag Manager container so maybe it could be possible for HubSpot to add another container or just our Google Analytics code to allow for more granular tracking?

Thanks,

Lorenzo
