We have a 'Contact us' page that has a contact form, and our contact details (email address, phone number). And a lot of the times, instead of filling in the form, the prospect either will call / click on the email address link or copy the email address to contact us. We saw that on MS Clarity and we know for sure that the person who just contacted us through email was the one visiting our web pages and getting the contact details.
Is there anyway we can track this activity? (I understand it would be coming from Offline source). But when I was trying to do report, for example Attribution reporting for pages, the pages that these offline source leads visited before contacting us was not getting the credit.
Can you please suggest the best practice for tracking offline source leads that we know was coming from our website?
By setting up Custom Events Hubspot is able to attribute behaviour before conversion!
You set the event on the click/mouseover (up to you) and than it's up to you to simply check on their activities feed (check print below) or to use it on a workflow to populate another property.
Giving you the example of Rob. We clicked on my custom event (clicked on a button to go to our Demo Page) only 4 minutes after has turned into a contact in our CRM anyway Hubspot was able to match that information to the contact (check print's below).

Unfortunately, I am using the Professional plan and dont have Custom Events option. Is there some work around with this? Maybe when I manually key in the lead's information, I can add all these information so it shows up in my reports later?
Hmm not sure the volume of leads per day you currently get but that is not a really scalable solution. You can try to solve that by setting an UTM on the buttons you want to track.
With this solution you lose the tracking hoover capability and you'll rely on short term activities but most of times it could get what you need 🙂
