Is HubSpot ideal for revenue tracking the way Finance tends to measure? I know its good for capturing deals that were closed in month and counting those dollars. But what if for instance I close a $12K deal in December of '24 but I want it split $1K over the course of 2025? I know there's recurring revenue but the reporting for that is limited and cannot be added to dashboards like I would like.
The tool is fine for tracking progress to goals from a sales perspective (e.g. closed in month), but cant seem to appropriately account for contract revenue being applied across multiple months. Has anyone run into an issue like this?
HubSpot is great for tracking closed deals and revenue from a sales perspective, but for spreading revenue across multiple months, you’ll need a workaround. One option is to create a custom property for monthly revenue and use workflows to allocate portions of the total deal value over time. While recurring revenue reporting isn’t natively built into dashboards, you can structure reports using calculated properties or custom reports to track revenue distribution more effectively.

Hi @Vasiki, are you all set or do you still need help?
If yes, @aviafriat26 could you share an example of a workflow to allocate portion of the total deal value over time to help @Vasiki, please? What would be the trigger? The property used? and the actions in the workflow?
Have a nice day and thanks so much!
