Tracking First Meeting (New Meetings)

lösung

Hi!

Is anyone doing any reporting against net new/first time meetings?  We are trying to drill down into what rep activities drive new/early-stage conversations with prospects within our target accounts. As of now, I can only seem to report on all of our meetings scheduled.

Is anyone marking or tagging these meetings in a way that would give us some better visibility?

Hi @joshsidener,

My recommendation is to use a custom call and meeting type labeled as First Meeting. You can then use that call/meeting type for reporting. We've implemented this type of tracking for clients in the past and it works quite well.

Note: This feature requires Pro or Enterprise. Details.

Thanks for the ping @JessicaH!

Hey @joshsidener,

@Josh definitely has given you the most direct way to accomplish what you are looking to do.

If you don't have Sales Professional/Enterprise you could try this option:

Not sure if you are using workflows with your meetings when they initially get booked, but as long as you have Marketing Professional or Enterprise, you can make use of a workflow to set a custom property of "First Meeting Date" and then report on that. It depends on what you are declaring as a First Meeting (scheduled, vs occurred).

If you want scheduled and you're already using a workflow to say, send out a reminder...Just add a statement that checks if your contact already has a "First Meeting Date" known, and if so, don't update. If it doesn't copy "date of last meeting booked in meetings tool" to your custom property "First Meeting Date".

If you want to count a "first meeting" once it happens, make that your trigger of a new workflow (Meeting end time = known). Then check if your contact already has a "First Meeting Date" known, and if so, don't set the date. If they don't, set it to the day of the step. This might also be a good time to add management-style notifications (Sales Rep X just finished a Meeting with Contact/Company).

Hope that helps.

Josh
