Restrict Dashboard Metrics to Owner or Team Only

Is there a way to ensure that the only activities/metrics displayed on a user's dashboard are for their own (or their team's) contacts/companies/deals? For example, Rep A should only see his sales revenue vs. last year's value, not have access to the entire company's sales numbers.

if you filter "owner is any of : me", it will dynamically change the report to only show their metrics
