Reporting what happens between "original source" and "latest source"

Résolue
Going beyond the "Original source" and "Latest source" properties (plus the relevant drilldowns) it would be nice to see what forms were submitted (i.e. what conversions took place) between those two moments in time, via a report vs. the contact timeline.

Example: we operate in the SaaS space and for us white paper downloads are an excelllent indicator of intent; these downloads are tracked via Hubspot form submissions. But while we can see what forms were submitted within each contact's profile, it would be nice to have a set of properties (1st conversion, 2nd conversion, 3rd conversion etc.) so that we could run a more detailed report.

Has anybody ever done such a thing?

Reporting what happens between "original source" and "latest source"

Hi @Ian_Blake,

First of, the source properties aren't tracking conversions. For conversions, you're probably referring to First conversion and Recent conversion?

There aren't any default properties for this but a few ways to approach it, depending on what exactly you want to report on, your license and how much custom properties you're willing to create.

Firstly and easiest, you can access earlier values of Latest source via lists, filtering for "Latest source has ever contained". This allows you to build lists based on those sources between first and last, although you have to know which one you're looking for. You can however now check how many contacts have ever converted through a certain campaign utm. The same works for Recent conversion, obviously.

Next, if you have a set of very important offers and are interested in having date information on these conversions, you would have to work with custom date properties and contact-based workflows. Whenever such an important conversion is happening, simply set the date property to the date of the step. This would give you sort of a timeline.

Lastly, multi-touch attribution reports are trying to achieve something similar, see here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/create-a-multi-touch-revenue-attribution-report While they don't focus on intent, you can use different attribution models (in Marketing Hub Enterprise) to see which campaigns are driving revenue.

I don't think HubSpot will ever create additional properties (second, third, fourth, fifth conversion or source), to be honest, simply because that list could be endless. You could however still request this in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Ian_Blake ,

Unfortunately, it's not possible to see details like 1st conversion, 2nd conversion, 3rd conversion etc., with HubSpot. Before the 'Latest Property' update, it was not possible to know the latest conversion but this property has solved this problem to an extent. For 'Detailed conversion data' we can put an idea on the idea section of the community.

Hope this helps!
