Reporting on Goals or Quotas using the Custom Report Builder (vs. Sales Analytics)

I would like to create quota performance reports using the Custom Report Builder and not the canned Sales Analytics reports (more flexibility).  How can I do this, i.e. how can I access the Goals property or create a custom Quota property that I can use with the Customer Report Builder?  I can't find where Goals as a property are housed.  Thanks.

I attempted this but there are some notable limitations. First off, the actual goals you set for the user do not become a goal 'trend line' in the report. in the report builder you have to make a manual goal selection. This is problematic because if you add a report to a dashboard and want to toggle between owners, each report will not dynamically update based on the users individual goal. It only shows the goal you put on the report which is super inconvenient.

It sounds like you're hoping to create a custom report with performance goals. Is that right? If so, I'd like to share this KB article on creating and reporting on goals. However, it looks to be limited to revenue goal reporting vs. other goals like meetings booked, tickets closed, etc.

"You can create single-object deal reports that track revenue goals to measure your impact over time. HubSpot provides a set of standard reports in the report library, and Professional or Enterprise users can customize these reports or create a custom report."

The section labled "Report on sales goals" will describe the options available more fully. I did find this previous post addressing quota attainment reports and the ability to create custom reports on this is limited at this time and there is no way to create goal properties to be surfaced in the custom report tool. 

If these options are not what you're looking for and the standard analytics reporting does not meet your needs, we invite you to post in the ideas forum  with your use case and desired reporting needs for the goals tool.

Hi Elyse - Yes thanks, standard reports helpful.  Still frustrated there isn't a better more flexible solution.  Also for many of the standard reports I create, the goals don't show up.  This has also been a problem with other users.
