Report on time between deals

Hello all,

I am interested in creating a report on duration between deals.

Ex. The client had 1 deal in Jan 2021, 1 in July 2021 and one in December 2021.

Total 3 deals.

Average time between deals is about 6 months.
Can I get that type of report?

So that in the end to do a report on how long a client has been using services.

Thank you

Hi @CVlad !

Nice to e-meet you. Right off the bat, the above is not possible since HubSpot only has default reports for time between deal stages.

That said, I have a workaround that goes something like this:

- Within a contact record, you have the "Number of associated deal" property
- Using a contact workflow, when the above property is 1, we set a custom date property 1 to xxxxxxx
- When the above property is 2, we set the custom date property 2 to yyyyyyyyy.

From there, we can use a calculation field to find the time between custom date property 1 and 2. Bit cumbersome, but might do the job for now.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply.

Unfotunetly this might work only for 2 deals. In my case there are more than 50 deals.

Will investigate other options.

Hey @CVlad

No worries! Another workaround here is to use the "Recent deal created date" and "First deal created date" properties for a calculated property. Once you find the time between these two properties, you can divide them by "Number of associated deals" to find the average.

You can try doing this via the "Custom equation syntax" of calculated property - else, exporting the properties to excel to do the calculation may be another option.

Hope this helps!
