We have a field where a company can say they are more than one type of farm. When I run a report on this data it doesn't show whole data. For example I know one farm type should show 228 farms but the report shows 23. I can't figure out why this is. Could it be because they have more than one type selected?
In the top left of the report, when you click Filters, which filters are set? If you extend the date range or remove other filters does your contact number increase? If not, can you share a screenshot of your filters?

How are you reporting on these field values? Is it a list, custom report, or dashboard report? My first thought is perhaps something is filtering the data? If you can share more details on how you are creating this report or a screenshot, I might be able to help troubleshoot.

I'm just creating a custom report that show companies and what farm type they are. Even when I go into lists and create it from there I still don't get the same number as my original Excel list.
