Report for stage deal was at when it was lost?

Just like the title says, I have been asked to create a report that shows what stage our deals were at when they were lost. In other words, the stage it was in just before it was moved to Closed Lost. Is this possible?

This can be achieved with custom funnel reports: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/create-new-custom-funnel-reports

You would set up all each deal stage as steps, with closed lost being the last one – and mark all previous ones as optional.

I'd recommend the Sankey visualization which will show you which deals took the shortcut to closed lost 😉

I should add, it made me make Stage 1 required as well. First and last stages must be required.

@ASamaha you can add a first stage for the record creation (see left sidebar) to bypass that the first deal stage is required.

Assuming that the purple last stage is closed lost, you could hover your mouse over the two strings that lead to it to understand where these strings start and how many of the deals move from the starting point of that string to closed lost.
