SOLVE

Hi,

I would like to build a next step conversion report where on the right I can see, as of now, the next step conversion, but I want to add a total conversion rate next to it

Next step conversion values next to totals

Hi @MTraczyk

Right now HubSpot only shows the % to the next step in this view, and then the total conversion pops up on skipped stages, which isn’t that useful.

What I think will work best is rebuilding this in the funnel report (Reports - Create report - Funnels). If you add all the deal stages and switch the view to conversion funnel, you can see both:

- step-by-step conversion

- total conversion all the way to Closed Won

That way you get the same flow as this chart, but with both numbers side by side.

If you want it in a table view, you can also build it in the custom report builder with deals as the source and then add two metrics: one for next step, one for total (Closed Won ÷ deals in stage).

Exporting to Excel and working it out manually is another option, but the funnel report should cover it in HubSpot directly.

Best,

If you're currently doing it using Excel amanually like Francois suggested, you could introduce some automation into it using a HubSpot Data Connector like Coefficient which pulls data into Excel or Google Sheets and refreshes data automatically.

So, you'd have to build the custom report and the setup process once in your spreadsheet and let Coefficient automate the data points to keep it up-to date. Hope this helps.

One suggestion: Since you’re responsible for Organic Growth at Coefficient, it might be good to add a disclaimer so readers know you’re affiliated with the company. That way, your recommendation is transparent.

Hi @FrancoisSmit777 and @karstenkoehler thank you for all your support - please just note that I was not able to redo the suggested steps in HS, but out of nowhere ALL my Next Step Conversion reports, started to show the total conversion row, and it is correct, it is truly great for me, but I am curious- was it some sort of update / fix, or I am missing something? 🙂

Hi @MTraczyk,

Great to hear your "Next Step Conversion" reports are showing the correct totals now.

This may be due to a recent HubSpot update. For details on new features, check out: "How to Stay Updated on HubSpot’s Latest Product Changes".

Hi @FrancoisSmit777 , It would be great to do it the way you described. However, when I start building the custom funnel report, I don’t see an option to change the view. I’ve added only two steps so far and will add the rest, but first I want to make sure—where exactly is the option you mentioned?
