I think I know the answer as just spent a good hour trying to figure this out but really hoping someone has a cheeky work around or a way to manipulate the system.
I have created a replica property under the company information - called Monthly Recurring Revenue for our new department.
With the aim of being able to see month on month any differences and therefore track the success of the department across the year.
So you could for example, say inJuly 2023 our total monthly revenue was £10,000
Then Decemeber 2023 it was £15,000 so shows the value of the department.
I have been able to create a simple chart from today/table as well.
But my issue is, I have no way of being able to filter this by the month, as the value is not able to be assigned to a month.
I did try adding a new column - that I put in todays date, which did not work as it would only report on that date, so would mean the values only being assigned to that specific month and not recurring.
I can see hubspot have the same field MRR but in the deals section (which does not crossover) but according to my live chat today, this also does not have the ability to track the differences month on month.
My ideal situation was to have a line graph showing the revenue of each product per month.
But currently, I think the only way to do this, is to download the report once a month and then save in Excel and collate the information offline.
Which is fine, but I wanted to check for any other work arounds?
I also need to do the same for Customer life time value! which I have no idea if the system will be able to do.
Sorry for my delay, I have been on a bit of annual leave.
I made a bit of hybrid solution for us. I created a new property section for each set of clients, like the below:
You can also make it even more efficient by setting up the Monthly Recurring Revenue as a formula, and have that calculate off your Annual Revenue for example (per client) and this will then automatically show that divided by 12 for example, or whatever formula you want.
Then I created my own reports, not any defaults.
I selected the products I wanted to see, where MMR is known and then if they are a client
Then I run and download this at the end of month and save each month individually and copy across the final figures to a single excel tracker.
All in all takes about 15 mins each month.
Not sure if that helps but hopefully provides an idea.
@MPalmer6 we are exploring the same question. Did you find any solution aside from the offline workaround? Where you say "download the report once a month" is that a custom or default report? If default, which report specifically?

If you manage recurring services and products in HubSpot, you can analyze and track the projected value of a deal amount over time with the revenue analytics report.
The revenue analytics tool enables you to track how much revenue you're generating or losing in a specific time range, to better understand the impact of renewals, upgrades, downgrades, and churns on revenue.
