I am a teacher testing out the capabilities of a free HubSpot account so I can assign tasks to studnets as homework.
I manually created a contact and ran a a successful import of fake contacts, but none of the contact records are showing up in reports.
All fake contacts have:
Name (F&L)
Email
Lifecycle Stage
Owner
Plus a few other fields
I see the manually created and imported contacts in the CRM. When I go to reports, I only see the default contacts Brian and Maria. I have tried refressing and logging out/back in.
The contacts seem to be all there on the contact index page, no issue there I believe?
The reports all have date filters applied and if I'm not mistaken "Last ... days" Filter exclude the current date. Edit the report and adjust the date filters and you should see them reflect your imported contacts.

Method 2: Creating an export from the contacts page then deleting all the columns except the ones I wanted to import, adding data, then running the import.
Both methods created a successful import. I see the contacts in the CRM. I don't see the contacts in any reports.
Ultimatly, I want the students to bulk import records and create a dashboard. I don't know which reports I want them to use yet. If you could help me troubleshoot why I'm not seeing the imported contacts in reports that would be amazing!
Let me know if there are any other screenshots I can share that would be helpful.
