How to sort reports data by date

Hi,

I'm trying to create a report that shows email metrics (open rate and CTR) for our different email campaigns. My y-axis is the email open rate/CTR, and the x-axis is the name of the email, but I can't figure out how to add the email Send Date field (which is offered as an option for the axes) to the report so I can sort the x-axis by that date. I don't want to display the date in the report, but instead sort the x-axis by the date.

When clicking on the pencil next to the email name in the x-axis, the sort dropdown won't show me Send Date as an option.

Is there a different way to do this?

Thank you!

Hi @warrendavey thank you so much for the detailed video response!

You understood my problem correctly, in that I just want to sort the emails in the x-axis by the value in that email's send date, but I don't need to display the dates in the actual report. Just sort.

I followed your direction and applied the Send Date as a filter. So now I have a filter for Send Date is known, but it didn't affect the order of the x-axis in any way. Did I miss a step to make it auto-filter?

Hey @warrendavey 👋 Thanks for taking the time to create that video! The auto-filter grabbed it, but we should be good to go now. — Jaycee
